Register as a producer

Importing charge points makes you the producer even where the units are manufactured overseas. Registration must be in place before you place equipment on the market.

Split household and commercial

Domestic wallboxes and public rapid chargers fall on different sides of the household and non-household line, and must be reported separately.

Account for embedded electronics

Charge points contain power electronics, communications modules and often backup cells. Each carries its own reporting consequence.

Plan for early replacement

Charging technology is being superseded faster than its physical life. Units installed five years ago are already being removed and replaced.
