1. Does it apply to me?

If you manufacture, import, or place electrical products on the UK market for the first time, including selling through online marketplaces, you are classed as a producer and the WEEE rules apply to you.

2. What you must do

You must register each year, report how much EEE you place on the UK market, and ensure products are correctly marked for end-of-life separation.

3. How compliance works

Put a compliant route in place to fund and manage collection and treatment via an approved Producer Compliance Scheme and recycling partners. If you place over 5 tonnes on the market, you must register with a PCS; under 5 tonnes may register directly with the Environment Agency.
